Allá por el mes de abril de este mismo año, recibí un correo electrónico de Ricardo Cánoves, amigo del blog, gran aficionado a los camiones clásicos, y conductor de varios de ellos. Prueba de ello, son este par de magníficas instantáneas de época, que tuvo el detalle de enviarme para que todos las puedan disfrutar. Según me comenta, están realizadas hacia 1987, cuando se inició en esta profesión, contando con tan sólo 21 años.
Destacar lo imponente que figura el Mack de color rojo, perteneciente a la empresa valenciana Pernales, y matriculado en agosto de 1970. Además del gigantesco convoy, una de las cosas que más me ha llamado la atención, ha sido la incorporación a este Mack de los típicos faros rectangulares propios de las gamas de cabina cuadrada (fija y abatible) de los conocidos Pegaso. Obsérvese la segunda fotografía, en la que figura otro Mack de Pernales (idéntico modelo e idéntica carga), con sus faros redondos originales.
Desde aquí, quisiera agradecer a Ricardo el hacernos llegar estas fotos tan propias del transporte por carretera en España, y sobre todo, perdirle disculpas por no haberlas podido publicar antes.

Esos faroles cuadrados tan clasicos de los Pegasos, son de marca Rinder, hechos en España. Son utilizados ademas en algún tipo de maquinaria, especificamente me ha tocado verlos en grúas portacontenedores marca PPM, además los he visto en otros vehiculos en Chile que es donde resido.
